The trap is the boundary. A movement that has cleared a yard switch but not yet fouled the main track sits in a different regime from one a car-length inside the limits, and so does a shove that could rock past a clearance point. In paper scenarios, mark the exact position of every foot of equipment: leading end, trailing end, and what could still foul the main. Worked scenario 1: a shoving movement with no eyes on the leading end
When shoving beyond clear view, protection must come from a person or arrangement that can actually see the point and stop the movement. Assuming a distant crew member will manage it is the planning error to catch.
Scenario: at dusk, a crew shoves a long cut into an industrial lead; the switch is out of sight of the engine, and the only other employee stands near the switch on a radio channel shared with another job. The plan states the engineer 'will shove easy and the switchman will watch.' Scenario: your movement holds authority over main track where a maintenance crew holds a permit; you were delayed, and a voice on the radio says the gang 'should be clear' and is packing up.
